1. Who We Are
Awardo Ltd ("Awardo", "we", "us", "our") operates the grant discovery platform at awardo.co.uk. We are the data controller for personal information collected through our platform.
For privacy-related enquiries, contact us at: Email: privacy@awardo.co.uk
2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely and encrypted).
Organisation information: If you provide it, we collect your organisation name, charity or CIC registration number, organisation type, and operating regions. This is used to personalise your grant matches.
Usage data: We collect information about how you use Awardo, including searches performed, grants saved, and proposals created. This helps us improve the platform.
Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are processed securely by Stripe. Awardo does not store your full card details.
Communications: If you contact us or subscribe to email alerts, we store your email address and communication preferences.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to:
- Provide and improve the Awardo platform
- Match your organisation to relevant grants
- Generate AI-powered application drafts tailored to your organisation
- Send grant alert emails and deadline reminders (if you opt in)
- Process subscription payments
- Respond to your enquiries
- Comply with legal obligations
We use Charity Commission and Companies House public APIs to verify and enrich organisation information where you provide a registration number.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data under the following legal bases:
Contract: Processing necessary to provide the Awardo service you have signed up for.
Legitimate interests: Improving our platform, preventing fraud, and sending relevant grant alerts.
Consent: Marketing emails and optional communications (you can withdraw consent at any time).
Legal obligation: Complying with applicable laws and regulations.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We share data only with:
Service providers: Supabase (database hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and Anthropic (AI processing). All are bound by data processing agreements.
Legal authorities: Where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Companies House and Charity Commission APIs are called to verify organisation data — no personal data is sent to these services beyond what you provide.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

We regularly review our security practices and access controls.
10. International Transfers
